I’m trying out for my high schools cheerleading team next week, i know how to do a split, herkie, hurdler, toe touch and my kick and how to stunt. I don’t have any tumbling skills but im willing to take classes. What do you think my chances are of making it?

ummm i wouldn’t say great… when i was in high school you had to have a flip flop and at least a spotted standing back tuck. you can’t get that in a week… at least not that i’ve seen…

It is very hard to learn to tumble [back handspring] in one week.. work hard but do not over work for then you will hurt yourself.

i think that you can make it on the team just work really hard on your tumbling and you will do great

If your team requires tumbling and you don’t have it, you might not make it. You have to ask the coach to be sure what the requirements are, and then decide if it’s worth the effort to do it. I hope it is, though, because you sound like you really want it. :^)

If you need tryout tips to get yourself ready, you can find some here:

    Good luck!

Probably pretty good. I know on my team they make most of the decisions on basic skills which you seem to have. You can always take classes before or after you make the team.

    good luck :]

well some teams require tumbling, some dont…
    I really couldn’t tell you, without knowing…

but you seem quified, and sometimes they’ll accept people that dont have any tumbling, if they seem quilified enough, and let you work on it with them, after you have been accpeted :]
