How would Cheerleading fit into a history project with a topic of conflict and compromise?

i have to do a History Fair project. it somehow has to relate to the theme, Conflict and Compromise! i have ALOT of interest in cheerleading so i was wondering if anybody knew how that would fit into that area.

    I am no good at history so this probably won’t help but, as an ex-cheerleader I had to make a funny out of this one. Conflict: Your base is dating a really hot guy and you want him for yourself. Compromise: Leave him alone and she won’t drop you!

    There is no conflict or compromise in cheerleading. Do something on the Civil War perhaps.
